In Harmony with Nature

Provida Organics produces honest organic and Demeter-certified cosmetics, continually evolving in harmony with nature and the latest scientific advancements. We guarantee pure natural cosmetics and hold certifications such as Demeter, Icada, and the cruelty-free seal from PETA.

At Provida Organics, we love nature and its wonderful active ingredients. Our products are exclusively manufactured in our own laboratory, where we ensure that the highest quality is always combined with the utmost naturalness.

Provida Organics was founded in 1984 by Jerg and Theda Wohnhas and was passed on to their daughter Dana Wohnhas in 2017. The founders themselves live on their own Demeter farm and continue to support Provida with their extensive knowledge and creative ideas. We are proud to be a family business and feel incredibly fortunate to have a wonderful team. Additionally, we are grateful to have engaged customers who are interested in nature and ingredients, and who continuously help us improve with their feedback!

Provida means "for life." Provida embodies the philosophy of holistic natural cosmetics—a perfect blend of nature, inspiration, and science. For centuries, even millennia, natural cosmetic formulations have been used for skin care, beauty, and overall well-being. True natural cosmetics place the whole person at the center of the cosmos.

A deep connection to nature and openness to new innovations are the foundation of Provida. This is demonstrated through the development of many innovative natural products.

The foundation of these true beauty products consists of healing herbs and the finest plant oils and fats, with their skin-enhancing, healing, and nourishing properties. Additional ingredients include plant resins, honey, beeswax, and exquisite essential oils. No synthetic substance can provide the same benefits. Wherever possible, Provida uses raw materials from controlled organic cultivation (kbA) or Demeter certification.

Provida combines the latest dermatological insights with proven medical knowledge of herbal medicine. This approach incorporates the teachings of Ayurveda, the principles of anthroposophy, and the laws of phytotherapy and aromatherapy.

Manufacturing

Pure cosmetics manufacturing

Since its inception, Provida Organics has manufactured all products in its own laboratory using self-developed formulations. This is why we distinguish ourselves clearly from many natural cosmetics manufacturers. All product formulations are original from Provida.

Provida Organics is a pure cosmetics manufacturer: all products are handmade in Geseke and packaged by hand. Before leaving our facility, the products undergo many personal interactions. These are just a few of the reasons for our high quality.

Quality

Naturally natural!

Only natural substances of the highest quality are used.

A large portion of the medicinal plants comes from our own Demeter-certified agricultural farm, while other medicinal plants are sourced from controlled organic cultivation (COC) and wild collection.

Fragrance, consistency, and color may vary slightly among our products. This is not a sign of poor quality but rather a result of the consistent use of natural raw materials, which can vary depending on the harvest!

Temperatures above 25°C can also lead to changes in consistency but do not diminish the quality of the product.

Materials & raw materials

Careful selection of all ingredients.

We carefully select all raw materials based on their specific properties. Each ingredient in our products has a distinct purpose. We do not use any filler materials; every ingredient is an "active ingredient."

Provida Organics uses only purely natural and plant-based ingredients, such as essential oils, aloe vera, evening primrose, jojoba, avocado, natural vitamins, and trace elements—all essential for the health and vitality of the skin. Many of our medicinal herbs are grown on our own Demeter farm and harvested by hand. Our products contain no preservatives, synthetic fragrances, or artificial colors.

Gentle & light fluid Free from perfumes and essential oils For couperose and sensitive & demanding skin Astringent, nourishing & moisturizing With the Couperose Fluid, Provida has succeeded in developing a gentle and light fluid especially for the care of couperose as well as reddened, sensitive and demanding skin. The pH value of the skin is brought into balance and the skin is protected from environmental influences. The Couperose Fluid does not contain any essential oils. The almond oil it contains is particularly rich in vitamins and minerals and is also particularly mild. Jojoba oil is also rich in vitamins and also contains many oxidants that protect the skin from oxidative stress. Witch hazel, butcher's broom and comfrey have vasoconstrictive properties to relieve redness and green tea has an anti-inflammatory effect and also helps to reduce redness. Hamamelis Cleansing Milk is a balanced emulsion of natural vegetable oils and herbal extracts that remove surface grease and dirt. This cleansing milk also removes salt left on the face by perspiration and controls clogged pores, without upsetting the face’s delicate hydro-lipid balance and pH-level. This cleansing milk is great for all skin types. Application Massage onto wet or dry skin with an outward, circular motion, avoiding the sensitive area around the eyes.
